Hi, I'm Elise Montemayor! Currently, I'm a senior at Texas State University. My major is Digital Media Innovations with a minor in English. I volunteer at the univeristy radio station, KTSW. My position there is an assistant music director. Before my higher up position I was a music journalist who wrote for the blog and an on air DJ for Other Side Drive.
Going way back to 1999, I was born in Torrance, Califorina on February 9th. So, that makes me an Aquarius with a rising in Leo and moon in Sagittarius. As displayed in the last sentence, I am into Astrology because it's fun but not something I take too seriously. I moved to Austin, Texas when I was one years old, spending the rest of if my childhood and adolescence here. Since my mom lives in California now, I frequently visit there, making me both Californian and Texan. I have 4 siblings; Keira (15), Max (8), Audrey (4) and Blakely (3). I love them all very much! Me and my sister Keira are best friends and I consider us twins at this point (even though she's taller than me now).
Right now I reside in both San Marcos and Austin. I've been doing school online starting this fall because of the covid-19 pandemic. This has been a weird time for everyone but just like everyone else, I'm taking the time to reflect on life and spend time with family. The introvert in me doesn't mind the isolation but there are times when I want to hang out with my friends. While I do miss campus life and my friends, I would much rather keep healthy and stay safe with hope of making new memories in the future.
